Cheaper vidIQ alternatives in India (2026)

Disclosure first: we make Grow Creator, one of the tools on this page. If you want a vidIQ alternative that bills in rupees, Grow Creator charges ₹299 / ₹599 / ₹999 per month through Razorpay in INR. But "cheaper in India" is a more interesting question than a price list, because several creator tools serve a purchasing-power-adjusted price to Indian visitors that is far below their list price — TubeBuddy is the clearest example. This page lays out what each tool charges, in which currency, and who each one is genuinely for, including the cases where vidIQ or TubeBuddy is the better buy.

The short answer

If your requirement is literally "bills me in rupees, on an Indian card, no forex," the list is short. Grow Creator prices in INR natively through Razorpay: Starter ₹299/mo, Pro ₹599/mo, Studio ₹999/mo. vidIQ, TubeBuddy and 1of10 all price and check out in US dollars.

If your requirement is "the lowest real monthly cost for the job I need done," the answer changes, because of the next section.

The thing nobody tells Indian creators: PPP pricing

Several creator-tool vendors serve purchasing-power-adjusted prices by IP address. The price you see from Mumbai is not the price a US creator sees, and it is not the price quoted in most "best tools" listicles.

We know this because we got it wrong ourselves. When we last refreshed competitor pricing from an Indian connection, we recorded TubeBuddy at $3/mo Pro and $15/mo Legend and published those as list prices — understating a competitor by two to five times. Checked against non-localised sources on 2026-08-10, TubeBuddy's list pricing is $15/mo Pro ($12/mo billed annually) and $32.99/mo Legend ($26.39/mo billed annually), while the India-adjusted prices are roughly $3 and $15.

What that means for you, practically:

Does Grow Creator have an India-only discount?

No, and it is worth stating plainly since this page is about exactly that mechanic.

There is no India tier, no regional discount and no IP-based price. There is one plan ladder carrying two prices, a rupee one and a dollar one: ₹299 / ₹599 / ₹999 and $9 / $19 / $39. Everyone paying in rupees pays the same ₹299, in India or anywhere else.

The distinction that matters: the rupee figure is not the dollar figure converted. It is a separate, substantially lower number that the ladder was built around, rather than a discount applied on top of a dollar list price. So there is nothing to unlock, no code to find, and nothing a VPN could change in either direction — which is the opposite of how the PPP pricing described above behaves.

We are the Indian-founded product on this list, and rupee-first pricing is a consequence of that rather than a promotion.

What each tool charges, and in what currency

Prices below were verified against each vendor's own pricing page on the dates shown. Prices change — check the vendor's page before you buy. No rupee conversions are printed here on purpose: the exchange rate moves, and your card issuer adds its own foreign-currency markup on top, so a converted figure would be wrong for you the day you read it.

All four have a free tier. vidIQ's free tier includes 150 AI credits a month and requires signup. 1of10's free tier is limited outlier discovery. Grow Creator's signup grant is 20 credits, one time, no card. Two of Grow Creator's reads run with no signup at all — see the last section.

The cost most comparisons leave out

When an Indian creator pays a USD subscription on an Indian card, the sticker price is not the amount that leaves the account. Your issuer applies a foreign-currency markup, and international recurring payments on Indian cards need a standing mandate that some issuers handle poorly — a failed renewal in the middle of a launch week is a real cost, not a theoretical one.

We are not going to print a markup percentage here, because it depends on your card and we have not verified it across issuers. Check your card's terms for the foreign-transaction fee, add it to the USD price, and compare that number.

Who each tool is actually for

vidIQ — you are winning views from YouTube search and your titles, tags and keyword choices are the lever. vidIQ has been the keyword-research incumbent since 2014 and its browser extension overlays tags and scores on every YouTube page you visit. If keyword research is the job, vidIQ does it and Grow Creator does not do it at all.

TubeBuddy — you publish often, you live inside YouTube Studio, and you want bulk metadata editing plus built-in title/thumbnail A/B testing. Grow Creator has no browser extension, no Studio integration, no bulk operations, and does not test thumbnails. If those are your workflow, TubeBuddy Legend is hard to beat, and on India PPP pricing it is very cheap.

1of10 — you want the widest cross-niche feed of breakout videos to reverse-engineer. That is its whole product and it goes wider than Grow Creator's Viral Radar. It is also the most expensive option on this page at $69/mo for Pro.

Grow Creator — you want a diagnosis rather than a keyword list: why a specific Reel or Short underperformed, and what single change to make next. Reel IQ watches an uploaded draft frame by frame and scores hook, pacing, retention risk, caption and cover before you publish. Channel X-Ray reads your recent uploads and names the one bottleneck capping reach. Viral Radar surfaces proven-viral videos in your topic to remix. It bills in rupees.

What Grow Creator does not do

Worth stating plainly, because a comparison page that only lists strengths is not a comparison:

Things you can run today without paying anyone

Before you subscribe to anything, three reads cost nothing and need no card:

vidIQ and TubeBuddy both have free tiers too, and both require an account. If you are deciding between tools, run all of the free options before you spend anything.

How this page is maintained

Competitor prices carry the date they were verified against the vendor's own pricing page. When a date is more than a quarter old, treat the figure as indicative and check the vendor. If you find a number here that is wrong, tell us at hello@growcreator.pro and we will correct it — publishing a wrong price about a named competitor is a fairness problem, not a cosmetic one.

Common questions

Which YouTube and Instagram creator tools bill in Indian rupees?

Grow Creator bills in INR through Razorpay at ₹299/mo Starter, ₹599/mo Pro and ₹999/mo Studio, and also offers the same tiers in USD at $9, $19 and $39. vidIQ, TubeBuddy and 1of10 priced and checked out in US dollars when we last verified their pricing pages (vidIQ 2026-06-08, TubeBuddy 2026-08-10, 1of10 2026-06-12). Vendors change payment options, so check the vendor's own checkout before assuming.

Is vidIQ cheaper in India?

vidIQ's Max tier was $39/month when we verified it on 2026-06-08 and its checkout was in US dollars. Some creator tools do serve purchasing-power-adjusted prices to Indian visitors — TubeBuddy is the clearest documented case, at roughly $3 and $15 against list prices of $15 and $32.99. The only reliable way to know what you will pay is to open the vendor's pricing page from your own connection.

Why does TubeBuddy show me a different price than the one in comparison articles?

Because TubeBuddy serves purchasing-power-adjusted pricing by IP address. From an Indian connection its tiers render at roughly $3 and $15 a month; the list prices checked against non-localised sources on 2026-08-10 are $15/month Pro ($12 annual) and $32.99/month Legend ($26.39 annual). Most comparison articles quote one of the two without saying which.

What is the cheapest way to diagnose why a Reel or Short underperformed?

Free. Paste the published Reel or Short URL into growcreator.pro/why-did-my-reel-flop and a real AI scan watches that specific video and returns a verdict with the hook read and the top fixes. It runs once per visitor with no signup and no card. Beyond that first scan you need an account, and a signed-in Reel IQ scan costs credits.

Does Grow Creator do keyword research like vidIQ?

No. Grow Creator has no keyword research tool, no tag optimizer, no search-volume data and no browser extension. If keyword and tag optimization is your main need, vidIQ or TubeBuddy is the correct choice and this page is not trying to talk you out of it.

Do I have to pay in USD if I use a tool that prices in dollars?

Yes, and your card issuer will add a foreign-currency markup on top of the sticker price. The size of that markup depends on your card, so check your card's terms and add it to the USD figure before comparing against a rupee-priced plan. International recurring mandates on Indian cards also fail more often than domestic ones, which is a real risk on a subscription you depend on.
